Good news from our corner of Tuscany, the Valdichiana in Arezzo area. Overall, the situation is positive, with ideal weather conditions: dry heat has alternated with recent rains, and unfortunately, some hailstorms. This has led to optimal production and good grape health.

First and foremost, the white varieties, especially the early ones like Pinot and Chardonnay, awaiting sparkling bubbles. In August, Ciliegiolo, Merlot, and Vermentino, and throughout September and October, we will harvest the reds, our Sangiovese, with the late varieties finally arriving.

One thing has been noted: the temperature fluctuations of the past few weeks will ensure the next vintage rich aromas and good structure.

What can we say? Wine quality is imperative, as is telling the story behind them, especially during a period of intense tension in the US market over tariffs. Wine, the most exported product in the United States, is under attack; In Tuscany, there are approximately 16,000 wineries with 60,000 hectares of vineyards, 52 DOP (11 DOCG and 41 DOC), and 6 IGT, with a production value of just under €1.2 billion and the same amount in exports, with 74% of the labels destined for non-EU countries.

Politicians cannot stand by and watch passively!!!
